London Tattoo Convention

As part of it’s World circuit, London is hosting the 6th ‘International’ Tattoo Convention this year, they are expecting at lest 20’000 to attend.
It is by far the biggest tattoo event to be held in the UK this year and is all the ‘buzz’ in the tattoo world at present.

All of the crew at GNWI will be there. The event runs from the 24th to the 26th of September 2010.
The gang have promised to bring back some news, gossip and photos on their return, so be sure to check back!

Becky’s Pregnant!  

Yes it’s true...we expect the ‘pitter patter’ of a tiny tattooist in the shop early next year!  

Obviously Bex will have sometime off but she is planning to return, still...best you get booked in sharp-ish to secure your tattoo with Bex before she becomes a Mum. You never know how Motherhood may change her, she might only want to tattoo ‘Thomas the Tank Engine’ and ‘Winnie the Pooh ’ for the first few months of her return.  

So, any of you want to secure that tattoo with Becky, book now as the clock is ticking!

We're toying with the idea of bringing in guest tattooists to fill the gap, not sure about that yet but if you think you can make the grade and match our high standards send us your portfolio. If it happens it’ll happen early next year.

Shop External Renovation

You may have noticed that the Shop doesn't look quite it's normal self lately, but don't worry...we're still open for business it's just that the outside is being re-plastered! This Spring we had some sharp frosts followed by intense heat and the old plaster just couldn't take it anymore and started to fall off in chunks!  We're not sure just how long it's going take until completion but in the meantime, we're still open for business as usual.

There maybe some dust and workmen on the outside, but inside all hygiene and privacy practices remain unaffected.r

Update
Just a quick update on the work taking place at the shop! it's looking good...The colour chosen is called “Percy's Precious Green”. OK, just kidding and showing my age, being only just   old enough to remember Blackadder!  

A bit more paint and Rabbit will have his new signs up and the place will look better than ever! We haven’t suffered any disruption whatsoever, so if you’re looking for that special tattoo...what are you waiting for?  

Rabbit wins Again at ‘State of the Art’!

Rabbit and the team attended the ‘State of the Art - Body Art Festival’ at Darby over the weekend. He entered the competition with his work on ‘Andy Dennis’ which won the ‘Most Unusual Concept’ award. This is the second time rabbit has won this prestigious prize last time with his UV tattoo seen further down this page! 

Well done Rabbit and Andy!

Bryan has just emailed me a link to his blog where he has put some photos together of the convention, click on the ‘black and white’ image to check it out. We also have a few colour photos of Andy's tattoos on our galleries page but I've put them here for. Most of Andy's chest and back work was done sometime ago but the leg work is ongoing. Mobile Studio's First Trip


The new 'Mobile Studio' had it's first trip out this weekend (18th- 21st of June 2010) at the Bikerfest.

Everything went really well, lots of bookings etc. As it was our first time out we learnt allot and we realise that we can make a few improvements. So next time it'll go even better! We still have some finishing touches inside and out that we couldn't quite finish before the Bikerfest began but we'll have those done soon. .

It was great to meet-up with some old friends plus make some new ones too. Had some heavy showers and wind Saturday but our unit and it's awning held-up really well. One of the other booths ended-up in a field only the night before!

Billy is our rising star, although he is still at the apprentice stage with some of the more intricate, highly detailed large tattoos such as some back pieces etc...when it comes to ‘Tribal’ he's ‘Your Man’. Billy has been knocking out tribal stuff for quite some time now. The Shop is that busy that the guys haven't been able to keep the social networking sites up to date so Monkee has volunteered to pick-up the baton. Although Rabbit and the three bees...Bryan, Becky and Billy will be directly commenting now and again Monkee will be hassling them for regular info and relaying their comments and replies when their real busy. She has also cleaned-up the sites and added new pictures...you should also be seeing some new vids uploaded to our Youtube account in the not-too-distant future.
